Who reads this site
The Natural Sleep Lab readers are sleep-curious adults who've already tried the obvious stuff (more hours, melatonin, blackout curtains) and are looking for the next layer of intervention. They skew:
- 25-55, US-heavy with meaningful EU and AU traffic
- Health-conscious + research-literate — they read footnotes, click citations, and look for evidence over hype
- High-intent buyers — when a product mention solves their problem, they purchase. Conversion rates on affiliate links run materially above category average.
- Skeptical of wellness — articles that cite real studies and name real labs do better here than testimonial-driven content
If your brand sells into that audience honestly, we should talk. If you're looking for a billboard or a paid plant, we're the wrong fit — see "What we won't do" below.
What we offer
Most popular
Sponsored editorial
A dedicated 1,500-2,500 word article on your product or category. Written in our editorial voice — research-cited, honest, including caveats. Labeled "Sponsored" at the top of the article and in disclosure metadata. We control the editorial; you brief us, review for accuracy, and don't dictate conclusions.
Product review
You send the product, we test it for 2-4 weeks, we write the honest review. Outcome could be positive, mixed, or critical — we publish what we actually find. Best fit for brands confident their product holds up to testing.
Newsletter sponsorship
Once the newsletter launches: dedicated sponsor mention in a weekly issue, written in editorial voice, going to engaged subscribers who opted in for sleep content. Lower volume than display ads, much higher engagement.
Affiliate partnership
Commission-based, no upfront fee. We'll consider adding products to our affiliate stack if (a) we use them or would use them, and (b) they meaningfully solve a problem we cover. Standard category commission rates.
Banner placement
Limited site-wide banner inventory in the article sidebar / footer for brands that don't fit the editorial formats above. Available on a monthly basis. Sold sparingly so the site doesn't look like a billboard.
Custom partnerships
Co-branded content series, research collaborations, gift guides, multi-month campaigns. Tell us what you want to do and we'll figure out if it fits.
What we won't do
The brand we're building depends on readers trusting that the editorial is honest. So:
- No hidden sponsorships. Sponsored content is labeled clearly at the top of the article and in metadata.
- No paid positive reviews. If we review your product and don't like it, we publish what we found. You can decline to participate in the review program; we won't ghost-edit findings for a fee.
- No "10 reasons why your product is amazing" listicles. If we can't write something readers genuinely want to read, we don't write it — and you shouldn't pay us to.
- No dangerous recommendations. We won't recommend mouth tape to readers with diagnosed sleep apnea. We won't tell people to skip CPAP. We won't push supplements at unsafe doses.
- No competitor disparagement. We'll critique categories where critique is warranted, but we don't accept money to attack a specific brand.
- No backlink-only deals. If the article isn't valuable to readers, the link won't pass through Google's quality filters anyway.
